Founder · Operating discipline

Evidence before commitment. An operator that says so.

Luke Ebanks, founder. TechBridge helps UK mid-market law firms decide whether, what, and how to buy legal technology before vendors set the frame. Vendor-neutral by construction, not by claim.

Start with FlightPath: 60 minutes, no pre-work, and a route map that tells the firm whether to proceed, pause, fix the operating model, or walk away before vendors enter the room.

The founder note

Why TechBridge exists

TechBridge Legal exists because the way most UK mid-market firms buy legal technology is broken in a knowable, repeatable way: a partner mandate, a procurement process that drags for a year, a vendor demo cycle that flatters the question, and a contract that lands the firm with the answer to the wrong problem.

TechBridge is the operator that sits in front of that pattern and breaks it open. We diagnose the operating model first. We score against twelve dimensions on the firm's actual state, not its policy library. We test whether the stated procurement category is the real problem before any vendor is asked anything. And we say so out loud — in writing — if the answer is to pause, to fix, or to walk away.

We are not a vendor reseller. We are not a procurement consultancy in the Big Four shape. We are not a startup hype machine. We are a small, evidence-led operator built to give UK mid-market firms the upstream decision intelligence that bigger firms take for granted, without handing the firm's negotiating position to a vendor in the process.

Vendor-Neutral Tech Intelligence is a category we built because the category we needed did not exist.

The anti-position

What TechBridge is not

Where a category is contested or vague, we name what TechBridge is not. The audience deserves to know on contact.

  • Not a vendor reseller. There is no product line behind the recommendation. There is no shelf with our name on the box.
  • Not a procurement consultancy. Procurement consultancies run the process. We run the upstream decision intelligence that makes the process worth running.
  • Not a Big Four IT shop. We are a small, deliberate operator, calibrated to UK mid-market law firms. The methodology travels; the body count does not.
  • Not a startup hype machine. No transformation language. No bold claims about disruption. Real evidence, conservative scoring, defensible output.
Eight pillars · non-negotiable

The operating doctrine, made portable

Four tagline pillars. Four operating pillars. Every decision answers to them — copy, design, commercial model, refusal log.

Tagline pillars · 01 → 04
  1. 01

Clarity before commitment. Strategy before spend.

Decision intelligence runs upstream of procurement. Vendors are a downstream consequence of a well-framed problem, not a starting move.

  2. 02

    Over-Engineered to Over-Deliver.

The methodology is heavier than the moment requires, so the moment can never overrun it. The discipline is the deliverable.

  3. 03

    Human Taste, Agentic Pace.

Agentic capacity does the volume. Human judgement holds the line on taste, restraint, and what gets refused. The combination is the unlock.

  4. 04

Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.

The slow first move — diagnosis, frame, evidence — is what makes the later moves quick. Speed is earned by the patience of the early steps.

Operating pillars · 05 → 08
  1. 05

    Yin / Yang rhythm.

Opposing forces — vendor and buyer, evidence and intuition, restraint and ambition — are held in tension on purpose. Resolution is not the goal; the rhythm is.

  2. 06

Vendor-neutral by construction, not by claim.

Neutrality is built into the business model — no software to sell, no implementation revenue, no Procurement Engine commissions. Words are easy; structure is hard.

  3. 07

    Refreshingly honest as competitive advantage.

If the diagnostic says pause, we say pause. If we are not the right operator for the engagement, we say so on the call. The discipline compounds.

  4. 08

    Gates not timelines.

Work moves when the prior step is genuinely complete, not when the calendar says so. Gates produce defensible outputs; timelines produce theatre.

Operating cockpit

Two operators on the dial. Nine agents in the loop

Public-facing operating model. Luke owns diagnosis, recommendation and refusals. Mike holds technical direction across the products and the agent system. The nine agents scale pace, recall and scrutiny — final judgement stays with the founder.

LE-01 Human accountability

Luke Ebanks

Founder · accountable operator

Owns diagnosis, recommendation, refusal log and commercial judgement. Every call that leaves TechBridge carries his name. The agents around him scale pace, recall and scrutiny — final judgement stays with the operator.

MK-02 Technical direction

Mike Kowalczyk

Technical Director · co-builder and adviser

Technical direction and architecture across TechBridge products and the agent system, security hardening, software development support, PeerBridge build oversight and website and infrastructure migration input. No contractual or financial authority unless expressly authorised.

  1. AG-01 Agent

    Sterling

    Chief Strategy Officer

Commercial strategy, qualification, sales judgement and route discipline. Decides which engagements TechBridge takes on, and on what terms.

  2. AG-02 Agent

    Rodrick

    Chief Intelligence Officer

Cross-cockpit synthesis. Connects patterns across the agents and their outputs, and mirrors the founder's read so contradictions surface early.

  3. AG-03 Agent

    Nova

    Governance and risk

Risk and policy posture, claim discipline, contract and vendor structures, and downstream consequence. Public claims pass through this check before they leave the operator.

  4. AG-04 Agent

    Mint

    Finance

Cash, cost, runway, unit economics and financial framing. Keeps the commercial picture grounded in the numbers, not the narrative.

  5. AG-05 Agent

    Flint

    Systems engineer

Infrastructure, build health and deterministic operations. Fixes what is broken before it propagates.

  6. AG-06 Agent

    PEPA

    Project lifecycle · prompt engineering

Turns vague intent into specs, atomic execution, tested prompts and delivery gates. Holds the line on bounded scope.

  7. AG-07 Agent

    Edison

    AI lab

Runs experiments and benchmarks across models and prompts. Learns what actually works before it touches firm-facing output.

  8. AG-08 Agent

    Clara

    Intelligence

Evidence research and vendor, prospect and market intelligence. Source-disciplined; refuses uncited claims.

  9. AG-09 Agent

    Carmen

    Marketing · brand · content

TechBridge public voice — MagBridge, LinkedIn, brand language and market-facing expression. Holds the voice line so it reads as one operator.
